Beyond Cars Film Festival returns to Preston from 27–29 November 2026 for three days of independent cinema, conversation, creativity and community.

Hosted at SHOP Preston, the festival brings together filmmakers, artists, and audiences to explore one of the defining questions of our time: how do we move through the world, and what happens when our cities become dependent on cars?

Through a programme of international and local films, BCFF showcases stories about mobility, transport, public space and everyday life. From documentaries and fiction to animation, experimental film and video poetry, the festival celebrates bold and imaginative filmmaking from around the world.
